With invaders overrunning the land, the defeated Ming Emperor decides to commit suicide to prevent his capture. Also hoping to spare his daughter, he attempts to kill her but only causes her to lose an arm before she escapes the palace prior to the invader's arrival. Now in hiding with the aid of a female loyalist warrior, the two are aided by a young hero (Carter Wong) who hopes to help the princess defeat the leader of the invaders and return her family to power.
